Tadala Chinkwezule | Malawi
Tadala Peggy Chinkwezule, the Vice President of Malawi Law Society, is a seasoned legal practitioner with over seven years’ experience. She currently practices as a corporate lawyer and works for AHL Group as the Legal Services Manager. She is the Company Secretary of AHL Chemicals and Steel Limited and AHL Commodities Exchange Limited, which are subsidiaries of the Group.
Ms Chinkwezule holds a Master of Laws degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor of Laws degree (Honours) from the University of Malawi. She is an alumni of the renowned International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA) program and worked on diverse corporate matters with reputable solicitors and barristers while on the program, in 2014, in London.
Ms Chinkwezule is a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Malawi (WLAM) and provides legal assistance on pro bono basis through WLAM to women and children.
Ms Chinkwezule serves on several Boards and was most recently nominated as a member of the SADC Lawyers Association Council. She has authored and published articles and papers for high profile conferences such as the paper she presented at the SADC Lawyers Association Conference in 2016 on International Arbitration and at the 2015 World Bank Doing Business Reform Workshop, with her undergraduate dissertation being published in the University of Malawi’s, Students Law Journal.
